Who are Crowned Gear Coupling Manufacturer in India

Crowned Gear Coupling Manufacturer in India

Gear coupling are used in machines to connect two or more components with each other. They are vital parts of any machine as they are used to connect key components and transfer force from one component to the other. In a machine gear coupling connects two shafts and transmits the torque produced by one shaft that is attached to engine to another shafts that is maintained in a non-linear position. In crowned gear couplings there are two flexible joints. One joint is fixed with one shaft and that they are connected with a spindle or another shaft or third shaft. The most important part of any crowned gear coupling is the hub that is an external gear with crowned teeth.

These crowned teeth of the gear that is attached with hub rotate for transferring the torque from one shaft to the other. With continuous friction of the teeth attached with one other, are prone to wear and tear with time. When it happens, the gear coupling initially fails and then stops functioning altogether. Basically, in crowned gear coupling these teeth are crowned that means they are coated with a hardened metal that extends the life of a gear. Crowned gear coupling manufacturer in India use industry recommended hardened material to produce crowned gear couplings.

Crowned gear coupling is the most commonly used component for connecting different equipment of a machine or mechanical systems. Apart from exchanging the torque, gear couplings also adjust the misalignments of the components that is evident when to shafts are operating together. The capacity of crowned gear couplings to adjust simple to moderate misalignment and capability to handle very high torque make them preferred choice over the years. Moreover, products of crowned gear coupling manufacturer in India ensure great torsional stiffness.

Crowned gear couplings have high torque density and use of hardened steel for producing these gear couplings guarantees exceptional performance. However, if you want best results from the gear couplings it is necessary that you get the proper gear coupling and do regular maintenance of the machine. Though crowned gear coupling manufacturer in India give you the best products but to extends its life you need to inspect the condition of the couplings regularly. When you are buying crowned gear coupling you should follow a simple trick i.e. always choose a higher torque capacity gear than you actually require as that will ensure better performance and longer life.

Gear Coupling Manufacturers - AARIV PRECISION

What is Gear Coupling?

Before we get into the details of gear coupling, we need to first understand what coupling is. Coupling is an arrangement or a device where two shafts are connected together at their ends to transmit power. There are basically two types of coupling – Mechanical coupling and Material Flexing. Gear coupling is a device that transmit torque within two shafts that are maintained in non-linear position. In gear coupling there are two flexible joints and one joint is fixed with one shaft and then they are connected with a spindle or another shaft or third shaft.

In simple terms gear couplings fall in the category of basically belong to the category of flexible couplings. Therefore, gear coupling are capable of and used for transmitting very high torques that is generated by the engines are transferred through the shaft. The whole mechanism of the gear engineering is depending of the advantages and utilization of gear coupling. Actually, gear coupling is an completely assembled gear.

There are many types of gear couplings available like Jaw Flex Couplings, Grid-Flex Couplings, Pin and Bush Couplings, Gear Flex Couplings, Tyre Flex Couplings, Fluid Couplings, Sleeve Flex Couplings, Rigid Couplings. While deciding on the type of gear coupling to be used there are some factors that need to be kept in mind.

  • The area of application of the power through the gear coupling is the most crucial factor that needs to be considered for selecting the right type of coupling.

  • The intensity, force, speed and power that is to be transmitted through the gear coupling is another factor that are crucial for selection of the type of gear coupling.

  • Lastly the complexity in connectivity and the installation process is also important for deciding the right type of gear coupling.

If the right type of gear coupling can be selected and properly installed the production time and cost can be reduced to a significant manner. So, it is very important that you select the right type of gear coupling depending on the factors discussed above.

Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinder Manufacturer

Single Acting Hydraulic Cylinder Manufacturer

There are many types of cylinders that are used in hydraulic systems and single acting cylinder is the simplest form of cylinder in terms of design and functioning. In a single-acting cylinder fluid within the cylinder acts on one side of the piston. When fluid within the cylinder pushes piston from one side it extends the shaft attached to cylinder. The electrically powered pump that is attached to the cylinder forces fluid through hoses to enter the cylinder. This mechanism within single acting cylinder extends the rod or shaft for completing the job, but for retraction of the piston to its original position, it requires an external force to be applied. In most cases, it is the gravitational force that retracts the piston to the reset position. While doing so the hydraulic fluid is pushed back to the reservoir. Some single acting cylinders also are fitted with springs to complete the retraction process.

There are mainly two types of single acting cylinders – push-type cylinders and another is pull-type cylinder. In push type cylinders air is forced into the cylinder to push the piston out of the cylinder and in the case of pull-type cylinders air is used to pull a piston inside the cylinder. Single acting cylinders are especially beneficial if you use cylinder for your jobs that require linear motion in most cases, like clamping, puncing and positioning. This type of cylinder is also good for jobs that require repeatative functions. But if your job requires complex operations you need to consider double-acting cylinders for better performance.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Single Acting Cylinder

  • Advantages of Single Acting Cylinder : The most prominent advantage of using single acting cylinders is that it is easy to install, and these cylinders cost less and the maintenance cost is also minimum. The simple design of this cylinder makes the installation process easier and requires a small installation area. The cost of accessories like valve and hoses are also less in comparison to other types of cylinders. So, if you need simple tasks to perform it is better to install single acting hydraulic cylinders.
  • Disadvantages of Single Acting Cylinder – Single acting cylinders cannot be used for complex operations. Compressed air that is used in single acting hydraulic cylinders require proper preparation and maintenance. The spring of the hydraulic system takes too much space that reduces working area of cylinder. With repeated use and after prolong service springs and pistons lose its consistency and requires replacement.

Double acting hydraulic cylinder | AARIV PRECISION

Double acting hydraulic cylinder | AARIV PRECISION

Double acting hydraulic cylinder is the most common type of cylinders found in hydraulic systems. There are many reasons behind this but before we discuss the benefits of double acting hydraulic cylinder lets us see how these double acting hydraulic cylinders work.

How double acting hydraulic cylinder works –

The basic principle of the fluid mechanics in a double acting hydraulic cylinder is that in this type of cylinder fluid acts at both sides of the piston within the cylinder. Therefore, no external force is required for operation of double acting hydraulic cylinder. In double acting hydraulic cylinders, there are two ports at both ends of cylinder for extraction as well retraction of the piston. The piston of the cylinder is attached to the shaft of the external part with a hole. Through this the piston is extracted and the fluid at other side of the piston automatically retracts the piton to the previous position. To prevent leakage of fluid from the cylinder a stuffing box is used with the cylinder.

Advantage of double acting hydraulic cylinder over other types –

Double acting hydraulic cylinders can pump hydraulic fluid to both side of the plunger within the cylinder. That means you need not apply any external force for the extraction retraction process. This function saves on energy as well as makes the system faster. The connecting ports attached at both ends allows the piston rod of cylinder to move in forward and backward directions. The extra port of double acting hydraulic cylinder ensures more control over the operation of cylinder. The automatic retraction after extraction gives precise control as the retraction is done upto a fixed position. The faster and precise retraction of piston in double acting cylinder makes this cylinder a better choice when the job requires repeatable accuracy. So, if are looking for a cylinder that will let you generate force at both the ends with optimum control over the operation, you should always opt for a double acting hydraulic cylinder.

Where double acting hydraulic cylinder are primarily used –

As we have already discussed, double acting hydraulic cylinders are used where precision is the key. The most common areas of use of double acting hydraulic cylinder are presses and punches and for placing things on the conveyor belts and taking them off the belt. In both the cases repetitive actions are required in high speed with greater precision. Other than that, double acting hydraulic cylinders are also used for opening and closing of automated gates and valves, in carwash systems and for operating dock doors. These cylinders are used for painting and powder coating objects. Apart from these regular jobs double acting hydraulic cylinders are also used for operating sophisticated medical equipment and even the state-of-the-art shuttle bay doors of the International Space Station are opened and closed with double acting hydraulic cylinder. So, it is evident that double acting hydraulic cylinders have multifarious usage in hydraulic systems in everyday usage as well as in sophisticated systems and that is primarily because of its high precision output.

Difference Between single-acting hydraulic cylinders and double-acting hydraulic cylinders

Difference Between single-acting hydraulic cylinders and double-acting hydraulic cylinders

The basic difference of single acting hydraulic cylinder and double acting hydraulic cylinder lies in the mechanism of operation of these two types of cylinders. In a single-acting cylinder hydraulic fluid acts only at one side of piston of cylinder. Pressure generated by the pump is transmitted through the fluid to extend the piton. In single acting hydraulic cylinder, the spring retracts to its original position by the force generated either by gravity or by the weight load. But in case of a double acting hydraulic cylinder, hydraulic fluid acts on both sides of piston. These cylinders have ports at both ends for retraction and extraction of piston and force is produced at both ends. In double acting hydraulic cylinders no external force is required for movement of piston to both sides.

The difference between a single acting hydraulic cylinder and double acting hydraulic cylinder that you can tell simply by looking at the cylinders is the number of ports these cylinders have. A single acting hydraulic cylinder typically has one port. This port is connected with the pump through the hydraulic hose fittings and the pressure is applied through this hose to extend the piston and the piston is then retracted to its original position by the weight. While in case of double acting hydraulic cylinders there are two ports attached to the cylinders. One port that is referred as the advance port is used to attach the hydraulic hose and extend the piston and the other port is used to retract the piston.

A single acting hydraulic cylinder is simple machine that is easy to assemble, install and maintain. On the other hand, the double acting hydraulic cylinders are complex machines that require more maintenance and comparatively difficult to install.

Functioning and maintenance of Double acting hydraulic cylinders are more complex than that of single acting hydraulic cylinders but they are good for completing repetitive jobs. Double acting hydraulic cylinders offer better precision in terms of application. So, if the job demands high precision and repetitive action double acting hydraulic cylinders are always better option to choose. Both the single acting and double acting hydraulic cylinders have their own advantages and disadvantages. It depends on the requirement of the job on the basis of which you need to select the type of cylinder.

What is Telescopic hydraulic cylinder - AARIV PRECISION

What is Telescopic hydraulic cylinder?

Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are multi-stage cylinders. This is basically a linear actuator that is made of a series of sleeves or tubular rods. In a Telescopic hydraulic cylinder four or five sleeves are nested in one another and with each sleeve the diameter of the rod is decreased sequentially. When the fluid enters Telescopic hydraulic cylinder, it first enters the largest sleeve or main barrel, which then starts to extend. When the barrel is extended to the highest-level fluid then enters the next sleeve or stage. This way the fluid is transferred from one sleeve to the next one within the Telescopic hydraulic cylinder. As the diameter of the sleeves decreases the pressure of the fluid is increased though the same force is maintained. This way the fluid ultimately reaches the last sleeve that is called the plunger.

Types of Telescopic hydraulic cylinder: –

There are two types of Telescopic hydraulic cylinder — one is the single acting Telescopic hydraulic cylinder and the other is the double-acting Telescopic hydraulic cylinder. The single-acting cylinders are the most common type of cylinders and they work by the either by the gravitational force or the spring for retraction. In case of the double-acting cylinders the pressure of the fluid is applied at both side of the piston within the cylinder. Double-acting Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are mainly used in large and fixed installations.

Where Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are used?

Where normal working stroke of the hydraulic cylinder cannot be feasible for the job Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are used for these tasks. Actually, Telescopic hydraulic cylinders are ideal for applications that require long stroke but with a shorter retraction length. The nested design of the Telescopic hydraulic cylinders is the biggest advantage that saves space. The compact design of the Telescopic hydraulic cylinders makes it a first preference where larger settings cannot be installed but proper hydraulic thrust is required and that is why this type of cylinders are mostly used in dump beds or trailers.
